About The Club

Our physical Education Department focuses on the interdisciplinary nature of physical education that provides opportunities for all students to achieve the knowledge, skills, and values that will develop and enhance their sense of wellness, as well as, improve their health to maximize the quality of their lives.

VISION

V V C will provide a Comprehensive Physical Education program creating an environment that allows students to understand and to display physical skills, teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship, positive attitude and self-esteem.

MISSION

  1. The mission of VVC Physical Education is to promote lifelong learning recognizing the value of personal development in the physical, affective and cognitive domains. Furthermore, to instill individual ownership in the continual growth necessary to be a responsible, productive and contributing member of society.
  2. For all students to be inspired to take part in sport - whether it is recreational or competitive
  3. Engaging students to be physically active and preparing them for healthy active lives

OBJECTIVES

  • Make students understand about the importance of a healthy life
  • Develop a positive attitude towards sports and games
  • Improve their skills in sports and games
  • Make the students learn values like discipline, punctuality and hard work

A seminar on the topic, “Physical fitness and its advantages”, by Pradeep Kumar, Singles and Doubles all India veteran winner.

V V College was the Champion in C-Zone Cricket competition held at MES College, Manarkkad.

A seminar on the topic, “Benefits of being a sports person”, by Paul T Wilson 5 times Tennis National Participant, 2 times Gold medalist in Bharathiar University 2010 & 2011

V V College was the Champion in C-Zone Cricket competition held at SNGS College, Pattambi.

Akilesh, of our college, became the Mr. Calicut in 70-75 kg category in Best Physique competition held at Sreekrishna College, Guruvayur.
