     The department of Computer Science started functioning in 2002, with courses B.Sc Computer Science and BCA. B.Sc Computer Science program has mathematics and Electronics as complementary courses. The response to the course has been very positive and encouraging. The first two batches passed out in March 2005.The PG department started its functioning from 2014 onwards and we are proud of them that all have very good score for the complete semesters and are well placed in various jobs. The department has qualified efficient faculty who are dedicated in providing quality education and have keen interest for the overall development of the students. Seminars, awareness programmers and lectures by eminent persons are conducted to equip the students to meet academic and professional challenges. Our department has 3 labs with most advanced technologies and software .We have internet facility for 3 labs.

Today, Computer Science deals with technology and development.

If you choose BSc. in Computer Science or BCA a lot of options are available to choose from. You can be IT consultant, Cyber security consultant, Information systems manager, Database administrator, Multimedia programmer, Systems analyst, Games developer, Technical writer, accountant, bank employee, researcher etc. Many central government sectors like ISRO, IIT& rsquo;s etc ...are offering good opportunity to do research work for M.Sc Computer Science students.

Our mission is to prepare students for careers as software professionals and for advanced studies in Computer Science. We develop and work with a range of technologies to build systems and applications that help solve today’s problems, and share skills and knowledge with the community.

We are committed to provide the opportunity to master the computer science discipline to students. Our program combines strong fundamentals, project- and team- oriented activities, as well as soft skills, leading to a well-rounded professional education.
