VANIKA VAISYA EDUCATIONAL AND EMPLOYEMENT TRUST (VVE & E TRUST)

Vanika Vaisya Educational and Employment Trust (VVE&E Trust), the important body of Kerala Vanika Vaisya Sanghom, is entrusted and vested with the initiatives, implementation and management of educational institutions and related projects & schemes for the Sangham. The Trust has its own Director Board and Constitution. It has nine categories of members. All the members are shareholders in the trust and they enjoy proportional representation to come to the Director Board which is a Class A & B Member Group. The Director Board is elected by the Trust Council, the elected body of the Trust, which is the policy making body.

Under the Trust, at present there function three (3) Degree Colleges and a Nursery School. Of these, the KVVS College of Science and Technology,Adoor,Pathanamthitta District was the first college started by the VVEE Trust is the year 1995. There after started 2 Colleges - V V College of Science and Technology in Kanchikode, Palakkad and MCA College, also in Adoor, Pathanamthitta. The two Colleges at Adoor are affiliated to University of Kerala and Palakkad College affiliated to the University of Calicut. These three ‘A’ Grade colleges running in full strength and reputation. Efforts are already on for starting other educational institutions like Engineering/Pharmacy colleges in the State. VVEE Trust offers a variety of incentives for promoting higher education for members of the Vanika Vaisya community. A unique such feature in respect of VVEE Trust Colleges is there is no donation for admission and also offering fee concession for the students belonging to Vanika Vaisya Community. Fee concession is being given to poor students from other communities as well.

The first educational initiative of the Trust started with the set up of a KVVS Central Nursery School in the premises where the Head Quarters of KVVS and VVEE Trust are situated, the school continues to function today.
