The department of Malayalam offers second language course for BCom, CA, BCom Finance, BBA, BSc Computer Science, BSc Electronics, BCA, BSc Maths and BSc Geography, Being our mother tongue the language Malayalam has an outstanding divinity among the people of Kerala. The Govt. recognized Malayalam, as our official language. The Department of Malayalam has managed to form an association “SARGAM” in our college. We conduct many programmes like Kavisammelanam, Debate and Elocution competitions in the campus. World Reader’s Day and ‘Onam’ are celebrated in our college in a befitting manner.

Malayalam language plays a vital role in the modern world, which helps people to communicate in proper channel. To enhance reading and writing skill which will help in accomplishing the knowledge of creativity.

MISSION

• To enrich communication, knowledge and confident level of the students to obtain a creative mind.
• To develop the personality of the students to face interview and personal entity.
• To motivate and stimulate the students to overcome their inferiority complex and improve fluency in the language.

OBJECTIVES

• To impart the values and realities of life and make them socially conscious through the literature.
• To compare and translate the literature of other Indian languages into Malayalam
• To give our students an exposure to the classical world literature.
