Admission Procedure

Eligibility for UG Course

a) B.Sc (Bachelor of Science)

A pass in 10 + 2 Level Science Course with Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Application or any other equivalent examinations. Commerce with informatic Practice is also eligible for admission to B.C.A. course.

b) B. Com (Bachelor of Commerce)

An eligibility to higher studies’ in HSE or its equivalent with atleast one commerce subject is the eligibility condition for admission. Candidates who have not taken at least one commerce subject for plus two or an equivalent examination should get atleast at Plus Two total GPV of 24 (in 6 subjects) in Plus Two or an equivalent examination to become eligible to B.Com Course. A concession of 3 GPV will be given to those belonging to other Eligible Communities and OBC. The SC/ST candidates require only the minimum qualification in the Plus Two examination.

c) B.B.A. (Bachelor of Business Administration)

Candidates having an aggregate GPV of 27 in the Plus Two examination or an equivalent examination are eligible for admission. A concession of 3GPV in the total plus two GPV will be given to OBC and other eligible communities. SC/ST candidates require only the minimum qualification.

Eligibility for PG Course

a) Msc Computer Science

B.Sc. Degree with 50% marks in Part III with Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science as one of the optional subjects (Excluding Languages).BCA or B.Sc. Information Technology with 50% in aggregate.SC/ST/OEC/OBC candidates will be eligible for relaxation in marks as per rule.

b) M.Com Finance

Any candidate who has passed B Com/BBA (Earlier BBS) degree of University of Calicut or B Com/ BBA or BBS Degree of any other University or institutes in any state recognized by AICTE and approved by University of Calicut with minimum of 45% of marks or equivalent grade is eligible for admission. OBC/SC and ST students are eligible for mark by grade relaxation as as per the University rules. In the case of B Com (Honours) and B Com (Professional) Students, the minimum eligibility for admission is 50% for all categories of all students.

Mode of Selection

Selection of candidates for admission is as per universityrules and Government rules.

Eligibility Certificate

Candidates who have passed the qualifying examinations from the University / Boards outside the State of Kerala shall furnish along with the application a copy of the eligibility certificate obtained from the Calicut University..

Interview

Candidates provisionally selected for admission will be required to appear for an interview before the Principal on a specified date and time. Those who fail to turn up for the interview are likely to forfeit the chance of admission. No interview will be held unless his / her parent or guardian accompanies the candidates.

The following documents in original should be produced at the time of interview.

  • S.S.L.C Book
  • Mark list of the qualifying examination
  • Transfer certificate, Course and Conduct Certificate from the Institution last attended.
  • Eligibility certificate from the Calicut University by candidates who studied outside Kerala State.
  • Four stamp size photographs of the candidate.

Note : Candidates are advised to keep with them sufficient number of attested copies of certificates to be submitted to the college. Original certificates of the candidates admitted will be kept under the custody of the Principal

Enrolment

A candidate selected for admission will be enrolled only after the payment of the 1st installment of fees along with all other fees. If a student leaves the college after enrolment, he / she will not eligible for refund of any of the fees paid.

Migration Certificate

A student admitted to the college from other universities should produce a Migration Certificate at the earliest.

NB:

  • The selected candidates should submit at the time of admission a declaration of willingness to observe discipline in the college as well as an agreement, not to destroy the properties of the college. If any damage is caused the cost of restoration is recoverable from the student responsible for it.
  • The principal shall decide any other details not specially covered in this prospectus and such decision will be final.
