Health Club

                                            "SWASTHIKA" Health Club

SWASTHIKA Health Club started functioning on 2017-2018 academic year. Its main aim was to keep its members healthy and the club does it through the most natural means of keeping fit by exercising and following a healthy lifestyle. The club consists of a staff coordinator and fifty members from students.

VISION

Our vision is to inculcate the thought of fitness as way of life. To guide students in their pursuit of a healthy mind, body and soul.

MISSION

Our mission is to prepare students to follow healthy and hygienic lifestyle, enabling club members to meet health standards throughout their lifetime.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

  • To modify the behavior of club members towards the attainment of optimum health.
  • To create an awareness about healthy living.
  • To identify and correct psychological problems among students, including substance abuse.
  • To play an important role in community hygiene.

2022-2023

     During june the club organized a blood donation camp in coordination with NSS unit and Indian Red Cross Society. The camp was inaugurated by Smt. Praseetha, President, PudusseryPanchayath .53 students registered and 32 units of blood were collected in the camp.

  

 

   

 

      In connection with yoga day health club organized an awareness class and demonstration on yoga. Mr. Velmurugan , National yoga championship- Gold medalist wasthe resource person.

   

     During the academic year 2021-22 the club organized a webinar on “Yoga a Way of Life”. Yoga teacher and evaluator Ms. Vinisha U was the resource person. Basic yoga posters for beginners were demonstrated in the session.

     During the academic year 2020-21 the health club “swasthika” conducted an online quiz program on covid 19. Students actively participated in the programme and those who secured A grade were issued E certificates. During September the club organized an online workshop on “YOGA FOR IMMUNITY”. Yoga InsructorDeepthiBiju was the resource person. She demonstrated some yoga postures helpful for students in maintaining physical health and to improve concentration. During January 2021 the club organized a webinar “NUTRITION IN OUR DAY TODAY LIFE”. Miss Meenu Jose, Dietitian, British Biologicalswas the resource person.
