Computer Science Lab

Computer science department has three computer labs for PG and UG courses individually. The lab is equipped with almost all recent versions of software offering practical sessions not only for computer science students of BCA, BSC computer science and MSC computer science but also for students especially those doing B.Com Computer Applications, BSc Mathematics , BSc Electronics and BSc Geography.

The computers are internet enabled and are available for students for their various computing needs. Students can avail the facilities during the free hours when the lab is free or during intervals .The students may utilize the facilities to browse topics related to their field of study, to download notes, prepare assignments, prepare presentations or to complete tasks assigned from college.

Electronics Lab

A full range of resources and facilities are available to the students. The department has a well-equipped electronics laboratory with various circuit simulation and signal design software for students. In addition, there are well furnished resources for experimental work in the following areas: Semiconductor Devices, Communication Systems, Electronic Circuits, Analog and Digital ICs, Microprocessors, Microcontrollers and Digital Signal Processing. The labs also offer opportunities for students to work on advanced software packages like MATLAB, Simulink… Attempt is made to assess the students’ performance through continuous series of tests and presentations in addition to semester end examinations to ensure highest standards.

GEOGRAPHY LAB

The Geography lab of V. V. College of science and technology provides the students to understand the vast geographical concepts to investigate and interpret them by using different types of maps, instruments and computer technology. The lab helps the students to conduct various field surveys through survey instruments. Surveying involves extensive field work and elaborate laboratory work. In addition, it involves the knowledge of the equipment used. Field works includes the measurement of distances and angles, recording of the numerical values, preparation of sketches of the areas and features surveyed, and the explanation of the recorded data, generalize the collected data and process them. The lab provides computer systems to organize and process the geographical information and prepare digital maps.
